Nathaniel Osimen popularly known as N drex “is a Nigerian afro beat singer,
songwriter and rapper and stage performer, he sings in English, Yoruba and pidgin
language.
A 19 year old artist who hails from Edo state but was born and brought up in Lagos.
N Drex started his musical career in the year 2014 and in the year 2021. He recorded
a song (bless my hustle) featuring his brother HoodX at J-world recording Studio in
Lekki Lagos Nigeria.
A fast rising youngster who raised in a music loving family started posting cover
songs on his Instagram page at age 16. His interest in music stems mostly from his
family. At the age of 12 he sang at an high church choir and began writing songs of
his own inspiration.
During his college years he was often bullied by his classmate because of his age
and appearance, in order to counter the bad feeling he experienced from being
taunted, N drex turned straight to music, words by N drex: “music don’t oppress me
it gives me boldness so I would listen to other known musical artist and feel like I
was them.”
N drex took music as his only friend, in order to get rid of oppression.. He decides
to take music as his extension. Focus more on music than the real world. N drex’s
mother and uncle was very supportive of his musical ambition, and always
encourages him to focus on his musical zeal. N drex was inspired by artist like Fela,
2baba, Dbanj, 2pac, Eminem, Maroon 5, Akon.
